This chair was inspired by the work of renowned mid-century Danish designers such as Hans Wegner and Finn Juhl, whose furniture combined elegant proportions with exceptional craftsmanship.
The chair's legs were shaped using templates on a spindle moulder, while the angled mortises were precisely routed using three dedicated guides to ensure accuracy and consistency.
The seat is woven in a traditional Danish cord pattern, whereas the backrest required considerable experimentation to achieve the desired balance of comfort, structure, and visual lightness.
The white ash frame was treated with lye to bleach and soften the natural colour of the timber, then finished with a white Osmo oil. This process creates a subtle, pale finish that contrasts with the warm tones and rich texture of the natural Danish
